Dr. Yuguo Zang is currently the General Manager of Boehringer Ingelheim Biopharmaceuticals China. He took over the position of General Manager for BioPharma China in 2023 and has been leading the team in rapid development. During his ten years with the company, he has been a key contributor in leading the team to successfully achieve milestones.

Dr. Zang joined Boehringer Ingelheim in 2013 at the Biberach site in Germany. In 2014, he moved to China and took on various roles and responsibilities while the BioPharma Shanghai site was under construction. These included implementing the single-use manufacturing platform, building up clinical supply and commercial supply facilities, and contributing to the clinical supply and commercialization of the first Biopharmaceutical project in China for customers. Before his current role in China, he served as the Head of Production in BioPharma China.

Dr. Zang holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Technique and Technology from East China University of Science and Technology. He graduated from Bielefeld University, Germany, with a master’s degree in Molecular Biotechnology and obtained a Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany.
